Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
May 25, 2008

Green House

Project

Larry Sellers is authorized to proceed with Green House Project to include contacting Federal, State and local agencies for assistance in developing said project.   Questions to be considered:  Where will the Project be located, And how will property be acquired (lease/purchase.

Financial Statements

It shall be required that a written treasurer’s report be prepared for each meeting (can be e-mailed with a paper copy with receipts on file).  This report shall also be prepared monthly, quarterly and yearly.

Meeting Minutes are to be e-mailed/mailed to all Board members as well as a paper copy kept on file.  The monthly report shall be published by 15th of the following month.

Meetings

The Board of Directors shall meet in-person twice a year for face-to-face meetings and participate in a sweat lodge ceremony.  Meeting places are to alternate between Oklahoma and Missouri .

Fund Raising

It was encouraged by Larry that each community create events that would raise money for the Society. Each board member will do a fund-raiser in their respective communities ie Kansas City , Pawhuska, Skiatook, Springfield and new vice-president’s community

Pow Wow Report

The following was reported by the Pow Wow Committee (Dona McKinney):

As of May 25, 2008 at 11:30 A.M. there was $450.00 of available cash that had to be put to the above listed expenses for the powwow.

Donation by Oran and Dona McKinney for other expenses.
Taco meat donated by Jerry and Stacy Braiuca.
 

Motivating Members

The Board of Directors need to investigate how more people can be motivated to participate in the activities of the Society.
